Education (School Child Program)

The lack of educational opportunities in Haiti is three-fold:

  1. Shortage of funds for teachers
  2. Lack of educational facilities
  3. The country's economic reliance on agriculture, which values child labor more than a child's education.

Without any education, Haiti's children are left without any hope for a brighter future. Currently there are over 1220 students in the 10 GCA/ESMI schools but only half of those schools have educational facilities.

What does it mean to be enrolled in the School Child Program? The School Child Program is the best way to help the children in Haiti to build a bright future. The School Child Program gives you the ability to help an entire community through providing educational opportunities for all the children in particular villages. Your contribution helps:

  • Reduce the illiteracy rate
  • Make the child’s community a healthier and happier place
  • Provide children with the textbooks and other supplies they need for school
  • Set up workshops for teachers to develop skills to help students succeed
  • Construct educational facilities to provide a learning environment
  • Provide a minimum of one meal a day to help the children grow in body and mind

Your enrollment in the School Child Program is giving the children in Haiti an opportunity of a lifetime.
