The lack of educational opportunities in Haiti is three-fold: shortage of funds for teachers, lack of educational facilities, and the country’s economic reliance on agriculture, which values child labor more than a child’s education. Without any education, Haiti’s children are left without any hope for a brighter future.

Currently, GCA has targeted New Jerusalem, a school that teaches grades 1-8 and also provides education for the deaf and mute. However, the school is overcrowded and in much need of supplies and material, especially those for the deaf and mute children.
New Town, Mirebalais
GCA is in works with the mayor of Mirebalais and US volunteers to develop New Town, Mirebalais! This new site will offer shelter and sanitation to over 5,000 Haitians. Read more about New Town
