Great Commission Alliance offers teams from the US the opportunity to engage in trips to Mirebalais, Haiti, to serve in many different capacities, depending on the skill set of the team. Below are the different types of trips that you and your team can serve in, however, the types of trips are not limited to the list below - if you and your team can serve in a different type of trip, contact us and let us know.
Medical Trips
Medical trips can be scheduled by a team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentist, etc. These teams should have a majority number of team members that can serve in a medical capacity, however, non-medical team members can accompany these teams to help run the clinic.
During these trips, team members are escorted to different key areas around Mirebalais to run 'mobile' clinics. These clinics are usually held within a school or church building and are open for adults and children to come for a free exam and other specialty practices (according to the skill set of the team).

Construction/Teaching
Construction and teaching trips are available to anyone, regardless of skill set. During these trips, teams will aid in the construction or renevation of a school building, orphanage, etc. Tasks involved include shoveling, sifting, laying brick, transporting materials and knockdown - however, other tasks may be required for a particular project.
In addition to construction, teams may also have the opportunity to teach English at an orphanage or school. Translators will be provided to aid in these ESL programs.

High School/College
High School and College trips follow the same itinerary as the Construction/Teaching trips but are centered around a majority of either high school or college team members (adult chaparones required for High School trip).

Vision Casting
Vision Casting trips allow team leaders to visit Haiti in order to get a better understanding of GCA's work in Haiti and if/how they would like their team to get involved. The itinerary for this trip includes visits to GCA's Boyer Campus, New Jerusalem School/Orphanage, Tou Tou's Orphanage and other sites that GCA is currently involved in with a project.
Length - team decision, Cost - *$150/day per team member
*This cost does not include airfare to or from Haiti.
Airfare must be purchased by team leader or individual team members
New Town, Mirebalais
GCA is in works with the mayor of Mirebalais and US volunteers to develop New Town, Mirebalais! This new site will offer shelter and sanitation to over 5,000 Haitians. Read more about New Town
Story of Hope: PauP Orphanage
One of the orphanages in the GCA network located in Port au Prince was destroyed in the earthquake, making it hard to find living arrangements and food for the orphans - but GCA sent a team down to bring hope to the orphans. Watch this video
