After taking a break for the holidays, our work in Haiti is back with full steam. The New Year promises to be a full of accomplishments as we continue to build a future in Haiti.

Amadeus Orphanage -Stuccoing has begun on the interior of the orphanage. We hope to complete the interior this week and immediately begin on the exterior. Our goal is to have the orphanage complete so to receive orphans during the summer 2012.

Boyer School Construction -The site work has been completed to start construction of the state of the art school facility on the Guesthouse property (Boyer). Due to the generous partnership with The John and Marine van Vlissingen Foundation, the construction of the school scheduled for completion for Fall 2012. Of course in the meantime, GCA is continuing to provide education to 80 children in a temporary structure at the Guesthouse property, as well as, at Tou Tou and SeauD’eau Orphanages.

Christmas Gifts -Thanks to our new partners from GBTA (Global Business Travel Association) we were able to give the children at Tou Tou’s Orphanage a personal toilet bag with supplies, a toy and new shoes. The kids were thrilled with excitement!
Orphan and School Child Sponsorships -Thanks to our many partners for the outpouring of generosity to sign up as monthly Orphan and School Child Sponsor. Currently, there are several School Children still available for sponsorship. We are also receiving sponsorships for Amadeus Orphans even though the orphanage is still under construction. By sponsoring a Amadeus orphan now, you will help pay for staffing, training and administration necessary to adequately prepare for receiving in children during the summer 2012.
